About Chef Kim
My journey began as a server at Nan Thai Fine Dining, where I worked for over seven years. During that time, I absorbed the art of hospitality and the meticulous attention to detail that defines true fine dining. It was also there that I discovered my passion for creating desserts, and I was fortunate to share my homemade sweets with many guests, including professional golfers. Those moments gave me the confidence to believe in what I truly love.
When I later moved to Woodstock, I began working at Roberto’s. Being the only Asian in the restaurant, guests often asked me where I was from, and I proudly told them, “I am Thai.” One day, a couple invited me to cook for them at their home. I happily agreed, but I explained with honesty: “The food I make won’t taste like restaurant—it will taste like home, made with curry pastes my mother sends me directly from Thailand.”
That dinner became a turning point. The couple shared their experience on Facebook, and soon after, many people began reaching out. It was then I realized it was time to bring together my seven years of fine dining experience and the authentic, home-style flavors I grew up with. Today, I share both with my guests, offering not just a meal, but a unique and heartfelt dining experience.
